On November 24th, and December 3rd, the Kapa’a Leaders in Training participated in a clean up of Kealia beach. Our LITs picked up trash that had washed up on the beach from the recent floodings that occured on the island. Afterwards LIT’s mentioned to staff that they felt pride in helping to keep our beaches clean and free of trash. They realize that if people don’t start keeping our beaches clean they won’t be available for use in the future.
When the clean up was finished we had a bon fire to celebrate the days accomplishments. It was a productive and fun day for everyone who participated.

On March 28th, 2009 the Kapa’a Clubhouse held a rummage sale to help raise money for the American Cancer Societies Relay for Life. The event was held at the Kapa’a Clubhouse from 7 am – 2 pm. We are happy to report that we raised over $400 for the event. We would like to thank the community for showing up and supporting us. We would also like to thank our staff and our Leaders in Training Teens for making this event a success.
